The owners of this Palmetto Bluff home are partial to living by the water — the couple’s primary residence is located along the Massachusetts shoreline — so they were naturally drawn to the ever-changing tides and scenery of the Lowcountry. Their newly built Southern residence sits on a multi-acre lot shaded by stately live oaks along a bend of the May River, affording 180-degree views of the waterway.

Architect Erik Puljung and interior designer Amy Porch, both of Hansen Architects, and builder Josh Simpson of Simpson Construction were tasked with creating a thoughtfully designed home that would honor, but not compete with, its natural surroundings.
