savannah college of art and design - HAYMANs hall

Constructed in 1926, Haymans Hall is a three-story masonry building located at 23 E. Charlton St., adjacent to SCAD's Poetter Hall and in close proximity to Madison Square.

Since 2013, Haymans Hall has been home to SCAD's illustration program, housing classrooms, computer labs, and offices. The facility is dedicated to Traci Haymans, a long-time SCAD illustration professor and distinguished artist, known for inspiring colleagues and students during her two-decade tenure at the university.

The historic restoration of Haymans Hall has resulted in the addition of illustration studios, printmaking facilities, updated MEP and fire systems, an additional stairwell, and an interior ADA ramp. The renovations have carefully preserved the building's historic appearance while providing SCAD with a modern and advanced educational facility.
